Something for all of the family

The same family fair has been attending air shows at Biggin Hill since 1963, the first civil air show at Biggin Hill.

There will be something for all ages from Tea Cups to Bumper Cars and some that make the aerobatic aircraft a better option on the stomach.

This years show focuses on RAF Biggin Hill’s role in the Royal Air Forces illustrious history over the past 100 years. There can be no doubt that during 1940 only the RAF stood between Great Britain and an invasion. On the 18th August 1940 the Luftwaffe set out to destroy the RAF, because of the bravery of not only “The Few” but the many that supported the aircrew the intended invasion was thwarted by Spitfires and Hurricanes alone. What became know as the hardest day will be reenacted her on the 18th & 19th August, exactly 78 years later to the day.

See the RAF100 marquee which features not only reenactors, Spitfires and Hurricanes but period vehicles and displays. You will also be able to talk to the team behind the soon to open museum.

There are two catering courts in the showground, both affording views of the flying display whilst serving up freshly prepared  food and drink ensuring  that they can meet the demand.

If it’s a beer you are after Shephard Name, Britians oldest brewery will be serving up their Spitfire Ale and Lager from the fully stocked bars alongside our coffee and tea vendors in the food and drink courts.
